Casting with Sand – a Material Research. During several experiments I examined the behavior of sand under different conditions. Several observations were made during the experiments. The sand was examined for many of its physical properties; thickness, texture, strength, and reactions with different compounds and colors. The most surprising observation was when seawater was added to the poured sand and many physical changes were noted.
